In this case, remakes don't refer to an updated, perfect retelling of a story, but rather anything that adds onto, retells, or reboots a story from a previous generation.
Before going any further, it's important to define the different kinds of remakes.
Remaster
A story is minimally changed, and is instead touched up, and re-released.
E.g. Strings of Fate א
Remake
A story's core plot and characters remains functionally the same (potentially with some changes made for improvements), but the story itself is remade from the ground up.
E.g. Uncovered: Resurfaced, In Your Imagination! (Remake)
Reboot
Some original elements of a story's previous iteration may remain, but the plot and characters may be wildly changed from its original concept.
E.g. World-Class Investigation: Zer0-Sum
Post-Generational Sequel
It may be possible for a story from a previous generation to have a sequel made for a current generation. For example, The Adventures of Fatman almost had a sequel made in Generation 2, aptly titled The Adventures of Fatman 2. In this instance, the story would be counted as a current-gen story, but would take place in the previous-generation's canon.
In 2020, Gaboza revisited In Your Imagination! (2016), thinking the concept was still fun, but lamenting the story's execution; and so, work on In Your Imagination! (Remake) began, also doubling as Generation 3's Generation Finale.
In 2020, Gaboza revisited Uncovered, and, as was the case with In Your Imagination! (2020), lamented the previous iteration's execution, and started work on Uncovered: Resurfaced (also referred to as Uncovered (2020) or plainly The Uncovered Remake).
In 2023, Gaboza started working on Gaboza's Killing Game: Ivy League, which would go on to flop dramatically. Partially out of spite, and partially out of a long-lasting want to make a murder mystery story, work on Poison Ivy began. When GKG:IV was brought back and Poison Ivy was cancelled, work on World-Class Investigation: Zer0-Sum began.
After feeling like Strings of Fate took too long to get to the point, in 2024, work on Strings of Fate א began. Strings of Fate א is an edit of the existing Strings of Fate script, meant to cut down on fluff and fix some of the small plotholes that remained.
Feeling sad about the loss of the original The Adventures of Fatman graphic novel, a remake, The Adventures of Fatman: Super-Sized, was created in Generation 3.
As of February 28, 2024, Generation 4 is the first generation to technically start on a remake.
