Characters
Uncovered is an adventure/supernatural RPG created by Gaboza in 2017. It follows Alex, who upon blacking out on his 21st birthday, finds himself in an unfamiliar new world that finds itself plagued by odd people in dark robes, hoping to unseal Caligo, the strongest magic user to ever live.
It begins with Alex waking up in a dark room, and an unfamiliar voice calling out to him. This voice ends up being Emily, who agrees to accompany him until he gets his bearings. Soon after, the two meet Waifu and encounter a group known as the Shadow Clan, whose numbers are rapidly rising.
Uncovered is one of two Generation 2 stories to be flagged as "missed potential" by Gaboza, with Uncovered receiving a full remake in March 2025 as a part of Generation 4, due to issues in the original such as poor pacing, and character's goals not being made entirely clear a lot of the time. A key difference between the original and the remake is that, in the original Uncovered, the King of Emvi is in cahoots with the Shadow Clan.
Uncovered has a playtime of roughly six hours to complete the main story, and 11 endings in total, meaning a playtime of 66 hours to complete every ending. Ending 1 is considered the canon ending, and shows Alex living with Emily, Waifu, and Amber in a large house after the events of the story; with Alex and Emily now being together. Upon completing the game on any ending, the player will see the text:
"Oh, hey."
"You're probably wondering what happens next, right?"
When the player gets the true ending, it will reveal that Alex is the one talking, and he says "actually, why don't I just show you, instead?", which then leads to the playable portion.
Despite the number of endings reading 11, the game will sometimes check whether or not the player chose to leave Emvi in the middle of Alex talking, and thus change his dialogue a bit.
A number of variables decide which ending the player receives. These variables are:
Who the player tended to favor when making decisions (with all decisions favoring Emily being a factor toward the true ending)
Whether or not the player killed the King of Emvi upon defeating the Shadow Lord
Whether or not the player decided to leave Emvi
Only one additional thing is considered for the true ending when all other conditions are met, and that is if the player purchased the pink teddy bear while in the department store near the beginning of the game. Due to Uncovered's lack of backtracking, this makes the true ending incredibly easy to miss. The other 10 endings are text-only and spoken by Alex. Their dialogue can be seen below.
(The player stayed in Emvi, catered every decision to Emily wherever possible, and killed the king.)
"Well, for starters, I can say that randomly ending up somewhere you aren't used to can be really scary."
"If it weren't for Emily conveniently being there for when I woke up, I don't know what I would have done."
"Her charming, innocent personality and her persistent desire to help people... I couldn't help falling in love with her."
"I really regret doing what I did to the king. Just because he was a killer doesn't mean I had any right to be one either."
"I still don't know Emily's whereabouts either..."
"I... really messed up. Didn't I?"
(The player left Emvi, catered every decision to Emily wherever possible, and didn't kill the king; but didn't get the teddy bear.)

No dialogue is shown after this. It's possible Gaboza intended on adding some in the final release, and forgot.

"At the same time, I didn't want to ruin a friendship by confessing my feelings to her."
"Which to be honest, doesn't bother me a whole lot. Things are fine, as they should be!"
"So yeah, I guess other than that, I'm pretty happy."
"No need to worry about me."
(The player stayed in Emvi, catered every decision to Waifu wherever possible, and killed the king.)
"Well, for starters, I can say that randomly ending up somewhere you aren't used to can be really scary."
"Since the beginning of the journey, or adventure, or whatever..."
"I've always had something for Waifu's real personality. You know, when she's not acting innocent for customers."
"I tried asking her out, but apparently "didn't catch the drift" or whatever."
"It's not a big deal, I guess. There are other odd girls in the fantasy world."
"Or however it's supposed to be said."
"However, just between you and me..."
"Seeing Emily run away and never seeing her again, along with killing someone..."
(Alex refers to himself killing the king, though the wording is a bit confusing.)
"It's really messing me up, you know?"
"I don't know what to do with the guilt, honestly. I feel as if someone else made that decision and not me."
"So yeah, no need to worry about me."

(Alex still says the last four lines of dialogue despite having supposedly left Emvi.)
(The player left Emvi and catered every decision to Amber wherever possible. This ending does not check whether or not the king was killed.)
"Well, for starters, I can say that randomly ending up somewhere you aren't used to can be really scary."
"Ever since meeting Amber, I've always felt this sort of attraction towards her."
"It could be her vibrant personality, and the way she expresses herself..."
"...or her voluptuous body."
"But I decided to leave Emvi, so... yeah."
"Meh. There are more voluptuous fish in the sea."
"I just realized how weird that sounds."
"But I guess I shouldn't be dissatisfied or whatever. In fact, I think I'm fine."
"I'll admit I miss Emvi a bit, but I think I'll be okay."
"So, yeah. Don't worry about me. I'm fine."

"However, as much as Amber was happy with me for killing the king, I'm not happy with myself."
"Part of me thinks I should move on, but the guilt has been killing me. I don't know."
"All things considered, I feel like I'm not getting what I deserve for committing a murder, even if the king WAS horrible."
"I guess I'm just getting what I deserve."
(This line oddly contradicts the one before it, likely due to Gaboza copying and pasting the ending parts of Alex's dialogue.)
"So, yeah. Don't worry about me."
(The player stayed in Emvi, and catered every decision to Amber wherever possible, besides killing the king.)

"Anyway, I tried asking Amber out."
"Yeah... harsh no."
"Well, maybe not HARSH, but it was a very definitive no."
"But Amber isn't the type of person to let a situation be awkward because of that. We're still as good of friends as we've always been."
"Man, I've been rambling. I guess I should mention that Emily and Waifu are good too."
"So, yeah, no need to worry about me. I'm fine."
(The player's choices didn't tend to strongly favor one party member, and they killed the king. This ending does not check if the player chose to leave Emvi, though it's implied Alex chose to stay.)
"Well, for starters, I can say that randomly ending up somewhere you aren't used to can be really scary."
"Not everyone gets the privilege of being magically transported away from all of their problems."
"Somehow, by some miracle even God would have trouble explaining, this happened to me."
"And what did I do?"
"Murder somebody and have someone I have grown close to leave forever, and ruin my reputation as a good person."
"But to be entirely truthful, I deserve to feel like shit right now."
"So it's just best not to worry about me."
(The player's choices didn't tend to strongly favor one party member, they didn't kill the king, and left Emvi.)

"Not everyone gets the privilege of being magically transported away from all of their problems."
"I was one of those people who was very fortunate in getting something like that!"
"Or, I guess the only person to have something like that happen to me."
"At least I can say that I didn't reject someone that risked their life for me on numerous ocassions."
(Occasions is misspelled here. Alex is likely referencing an event from Re:Zero.)
"If you get it, you get it."
"You'd think that given a miraculous opportunity, I'd stay in that world, right?"
"Nope. I left. As cool as it was, there are some things I left behind. Y'know?"
"So yeah. Everything's good."
"No need to worry about me."
"Maybe I'll see you around sometime?"

"Anyway, I think deciding to stay in Emvi was one of the best decisions I've ever made."
"It'd be good to end off with a moral to the story, right?"
"Hmm..."
"Oh, I know!"
"The moral of the story is that even if you are in a dark place, keep your chin up! Good things will come your way eventually."
"Anyway, I'll see you around."
Many aspects of Uncovered were both intentionally and unintentionally a result of Gaboza's appreciation for the series, Re:Zero.
The story being an isekai
The main love interest's name (Emilia in Re:Zero, Emily in Uncovered)
Amber's resemblance to the character, Priscilla Barielle
