"I can NOT share injuries with this klutz. You should SEE the amount of times she falls over every day."
-Carson, Strings of Fate
Carson is simultaneously Strings of Fate's deuteragonist, as well as an antagonist for most of the story.
In contrast to his sister, Carson tends to be cold and level-headed. He does have certain things that make him quick to anger, but his tolerance for these grows as the story continues.
Carson is a tall, well-built teenage male of average height. In contrast to Chloe, his features tend to be sharper: he displays a stern gaze, uninterested look, and his hair parts to the left as opposed to the right.
Carson is a very to-the-point person, who can sometimes be quick to anger if he's forced to wait, or things don't go his way. He tends to look more toward the future, wanting nothing to do with the past, even going as far as to distance his only sister from him. In many facets of his personality, he serves as Chloe's foil.
Prior to the events of Strings of Fate, Carson and Chloe were close. They eventually drifted apart due to resentment that Carson formed due to the twins' mom treating Chloe better, even if subconsciously. When Chloe encounters Carla for the first time, Carla curses her and Carson with the titular curse, Strings of Fate, setting off the events of the story.
In early designs, Carson resembled Chloe much more, and he was much shorter.
Carson's middle name, Aster, is a kind of flower. He is one of three characters to be named after a flower.
Carson is one of the only Strings of Fate characters to not be named after a song in any capacity, with the others being Miguel and Shem.
Connor was another name considered for him.
