A comprehensive list of every power system featured in a Gaboza story.
An ability is a passive or active skill possessed by a SuperSong. For example, Necessary Evil's ability, Siphon, allows him to take the power of anyone he kills.
Alma is the main power system featured in Soul Strike. Alma is always based on a single word, and manifests differently for every user.
Cora is a power system featured in Soul Strike. Users of cora can augment their alma in different ways, at the cost of being unable to use mente during the duration. For example, Benji can usually embody one different color at a time via his alma, but while using cora, he can have a red arm, pink legs, etc.
Malice is a minor set of abilities first introduced in Second Chance. People with malice come across as more intimidating to others, and magic users with malice can use Dark magic; though this is only seen by Mori. An indicator of a Generation 3 character with malice is a lack of an eye shine, though this rule doesn't apply to other generations.
Mente is a set of abilities featured in Soul Strike. Users of mente can enhance their visual, audial, tactile, and olfactory senses to different degrees.
Magic in Generation 2 is made up of six types; Fire, Water, Nature, Air, Light, and Shadow. Humans by default do not have a magic type, but when holding an elemental crystal, they embody the type of that crystal, along with its strengths, weaknesses, and immunities.
Magic in Generation 3 is made up of eight base types; Fire, Water, Nature, Air, Electric, Musical, Mind, and Magnetism. Dark magic exists too, but isn't considered one of the eight base types, for a reason which will be explained soon. Magic can also be typeless, but typeless magic mainly exists in the form of curses or spells/techniques used to enhance the user's type. Unlike in Generation 2, Generation 3's magic users are locked to a specific type of magic; however, Generation 3 magic users can also use Dark and typeless magic along with their type. Dark magic can only be used by people with malice, and was locked away prior to the events of Strings of Fate.
All of Generation 1's unstructured power, such as mallet-spawning, gigantification, laser eyes, flight, etc. is all a result of shenanigans. It's seemingly random and incredibly unbalanced and chaotic in nature, hence its name.
Sharing the same name as the Generation 1 power, this version of Shenanigans is instead meant to balance the power dynamic; granting each and every Gaboza character an additional power.
Most Gaboza's Killing Game characters are given the title of Ultimate [blank], meaning they are the best in the world at what they do. Some examples of this have been Ultimate Scholar, Ultimate Biologist, and Ultimate Reporter.
Similar to Ultimates from the Gaboza's Killing Game series, World-Class students are considered so good in their respective field that they are in a league of their own; above professionals. The key difference from Ultimates is that there can be multiple World-Class people doing the same thing at the same time- such as multiple World-Class Athletes, for example.
