Unending Heartache arc

The Unending Heartache arc picks up immediately after the Lowkey Network arc and follows three concurrent storylines across both worlds as the consequences of Magic Touch's grip on the flipped world continue to unfold.

In the flipped world, Renner wakes to find his house being demolished on Magic Touch's orders. He is arrested by police operating in Magic Touch's interests and brought to the company's headquarters, where Flipped Salas presents him with a fabricated story: that Renner had been in a coma following a car accident and that Magic Touch was built without him. Renner, disoriented, tentatively accepts this explanation and is given a position as a bodyguard for one of the company's executives.

That executive is revealed to be Ichika, a Magic Touch higher-up and Renner's ex-girlfriend from high school. Ichika, who has harbored an obsessive attachment to Renner since their breakup, is overjoyed at his return. Renner, still processing the situation, allows the dynamic to continue longer than he should. Meanwhile, OG Salas remains in Magic Touch's custody under Lee's supervision, using company resources while Lee quietly begins to question his own loyalty to Flipped Salas.

Flipped Salas, suspicious of Lee's allegiances, tasks Ichika with investigating Lee's home to verify whether Flipped Renner and Flipped Viv are being hidden there. Against direct orders, Ichika brings OG Renner along. The two encounter Flipped Renner and Flipped Viv, resulting in a confrontation during which Renner begins to piece together the truth. After recognizing Flipped Viv despite her hardened demeanor, and pressing Ichika on the coma story, Renner accepts that he has been deceived. He races to Magic Touch HQ and reunites with Salas.

With the group now consisting of OG Salas, OG Renner, Flipped Renner, Flipped Viv, Lee, and Ichika, they regroup at Lee's home. Flipped Salas reveals the basement of Magic Touch HQ, which contains a machine built around a contained black hole — a catalyst engineered to trigger world crossings. Flipped Salas uses the machine to cross into the OG world, in OG Salas' original clothing that he arrived in. Jem, Vinnie, and Ximena left in charge of Magic Touch operations.

The arc closes on two scenes: the group at Lee's house managing the fallout of Ichika's breakdown, which ends with OG Renner giving her an honest account of why their relationship ended; and Flipped Salas making contact with OG Viv outside Magic Touch, successfully passing himself off as the Salas she knows.
